For 100 years, the St. Charles Park District (SCPD) has been enriching the lives of everyone living in the area. More than 1,400 acres of park land offers the opportunity for you to enjoy leisurely walks, running, bicycling, golfing, picnicking, boating, fishing, skating, soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming, and more.

Aquatics: Get in the swim with a visit to either Swanson Pool in Pottawatomie Park or Otter Cove Aquatic Park which is new in 2011. Save substantial money by purchasing a season pass – available now! Swim lessons and party rentals are available, too.

Golf: Tee-off on Pottawatomie Golf Course’s award winning 9-hole course or putt a round at River View Miniature Golf. Both are located in beautiful Pottawatomie Park located at 845 North Second Avenue. What about golf without the ball? Head to James O. Breen Community Park and throw a round of disc golf!
Pottawatomie Golf Course: This golf course offers scenic Fox River views and was ranked the 15th Best 9-Hole Golf Course in America by Golf World Magazine in 2010. River View Miniature Golf Course: Opening May 7, the award winning 18-hole course consists of naturally landscaped greens where players will encounter a multitude of obstacles. James O. Breen Community Park Disc Golf: Located on 6.4 acres north of Campton Hills Road as part of James O. Breen Community Park, this course runs through wooded areas and follows the naturally rolling terrain. Players start each hole at a teeing area and play toward a target "hole," a metal pole outfitted with an elevated basket. Each hole is a par three; bring your own equipment.
Primrose Farm: This historic facility is located on Crane Road and is a working farm with the mission of providing interpretive experiences showing the impact of technology and social change on the lands and farm families of the Fox Valley. Amenities include a mid-19th century barn, milk house, pump house, hog house, sheep barn, chicken house, farmhouse, community garden plots, demonstration plots and farm discovery trails.
Additionally, Primrose Farm Park offers ball fields, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, a pavilion and playground and picnic tables. Follow us on Facebook, too!
Hickory Knolls Discovery Center is a destination unlike any other – part educational facility and part entertainment venue! Join SCPD for the grand opening of this new, interactive facility on April 30. Follow us on Facebook. Hickory Knolls’ exhibits and displays showcase the Fox Valley area’s many natural treasures. A wide range of attractions will appeal to visitors of all ages including:
Skate Parks are located at Mt. St. Mary Park (located off Prairie Street east of Route 31) and at the East Side Sports Complex (3565 Legacy Boulevard). Both parks are open daily from 9 am to dusk, weather permitting and are not supervised.
STC Underground Teen Center is located in the lower level of the Baker Center (101 S. Second Street) and is open to all Middle School & High School teens who reside within St. Charles School District boundaries.
